How The Training System Works

This program is the first and only training system specifically designed to increase any athlete's lacrosse shooting speed. It features the world's first line of weighted lacrosse balls engineered to feel identical to a regulation ball. The weighted balls-one lighter and one heavier-are paired with a standard ball to create the GLK 3-Ball Training Kit.

What You'll Need

  • The 3-Ball Training Kit
  • A pitchback, wall, or partner
  • Your lacrosse stick

These componenets are everything required to improve your performance. Just as weightlifting build strength and sprint training builds speed, this program uses progressive ball weights to develop faster, more powerful lacrosse shots.

Understanding The Training Balls

Red Ball

115g / 4.06 oz

Reduced-Mass Ball

Purpose: Build release speed and whip.

Light Blue Ball

200g / 7.05 oz

High-Mass Ball

Purpose: Build strength, power, and shot force.

Dark Blue Ball

250g / 8.82 oz

Advanced Heavy Ball

Purpose: Advanced overload training for advanced/stronger athletes.

All GLK weighted balls match the exact size, diameter, material, and feel of a regulation lacrosse ball.

Purpose Of Each Ball

  • Red (Light Ball): Increase release speed
  • Blue (Heavy Ball): Increase strength and shot power
  • Yellow/White (Standard Ball): Maintain baseline mechanics

This program adapts to age, size, strength,and experience. Start gradually and increase reps over time.

Skill Level Guidelines

  • Ages 7–10: Less than 3 years experience (Level 1)
  • Ages 10–13: Less than 5 years experience (Levels 1–2)
  • Ages 13–16: Less than 7 years experience (Level 3)
  • Ages 16–18: 8+ years experience (Level 4+ 600+ tosses)
  • College Players: Advanced Level

Lacrosse Training Program

Start with a pitchback, wall, or partner catch.

Level 1

  • Yellow/White Standard Ball: 25
  • Blue/Heavy Ball: 25
  • Red/Light Ball: 25
  • Yellow/White Standard Ball: 25
  • Blue/Heavy Ball: 25
  • Red/Light Ball: 25
  • Yellow/White Standard Ball: 25

Total: 175 Tosses

Time: 10-15 Minutes

Level 2

  • Yellow/White Standard Ball: 25
  • Blue/Heavy Ball: 25
  • Red/Light Ball: 25
  • Yellow/White Standard Ball: 25
  • Blue/Heavy Ball: 50
  • Red/Light Ball: 50
  • Yellow/White Standard Ball: 25

Total: 225 Tosses

Time: 15-20 Minutes

Level 3

  • Yellow/White Standard Ball: 50
  • Blue/Heavy Ball: 50
  • Red/Light Ball: 50
  • Yellow/White Standard Ball: 50
  • Blue/Heavy Ball: 75
  • Red/Light Ball: 75
  • Yellow/White Standard Ball: 50

Total: 400 Tosses

Time: 25-30 Minutes

Level 4

    Total: 600 Tosses

    Time: 35+ Minutes

Additional Notes

  • Advanced athletes may start at Level 4.
  • Customize rep counts based on experience and ability.
  • Increase repetitions gradually each week.
  • Don't overtrain- no more than 5 times per week
